There will be lots more room for parking at Yeovil Junction station as work is well underway to add 110 new car park spaces and at Grateley station there will be 130 spaces.

“The additional spaces are great news for passengers at Yeovil Junction and Grateley. The integration of car and train travel is becoming more and more popular so extra space for parking is a welcome addition to the station’s facilities.
“For us to create new spaces we have optimised unused areas which is why we are using the old Network Rail sidings as an extension to the current car park at Yeovil Junction and we have purchased some land at Grateley.”
To complement the works at Yeovil Junction, we are working with Somerset County Council to install a bus shelter and also 10 additional cycle hoops. Additional cycle facilities are also being provided at Grateley. Security improvements are taking place as additional CCTV cameras are being installed at Yeovil Junction and Grateley will have CCTV cameras for the first time.
The work to extend both car parks will be completed in September.
