We are always looking at ways to reduce our impact on the environment. That's why we're working hard to cut energy use at our stations, depots and offices and have set ourselves a target to slash our carbon emissions by 2,000 tonnes over the next two years.
Fratton Traincare Depot has reduced its energy bill by 33% in just two years. Meanwhile our "garbology" recycling programme at Wimbledon depot, where about 70% of waste has been recycled this year alone, has already saved 1,500 tonnes from ending up in landfill. And, overall, our fleet depots are well on the way to achieving their 40% target for recycling.
