Windsor Castle, the largest and oldest occupied castle in the world, is one of the official residences of Her Majesty The Queen.

The Castle's dramatic site encapsulates 900 years of British history. Covering an area of 26 acres, the Castle includes the magnificent State Apartments, furnished with treasures from the Royal Collection, and St George's Chapel, one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture in England. Among the highlights of a visit to Windsor is Queen Mary's Dolls' House, a masterpiece in miniature and the most famous dolls' house in the world.

To mark the 500th anniversary of Henry VIII’s accession to the throne, some of the most important and beautiful treasures to survive from the king’s reign are on display in the Castle’s Drawings Gallery. Through paintings, drawings, miniatures, prints, books and manuscripts, the exhibition explores the life of a king who had a profound impact on British history and whose fascinating story continues to generate widespread interest today.
