Portsmouth Historic Dockyard summer events
Throughout the summer holidays Portsmouth Historic Dockyard is hosting a full programme of exciting activities for all the family, ranging from arts and crafts to dressing up to storytelling taking place in and around the world famous warships, museums and attractions. Highlights include, Meet the Tudors at the Mary Rose Museum, Macramé Workshop on board HMS Warrior 1860 and Spys R Us! at the Royal Naval Museum.
All school holiday activities are included with a valid attraction ticket or free drop-in workshops. Please visit historicdockyard.co.uk/events for a full listing. All under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult.
How do I get this offer?
You can get your combined ticket from any staffed train station or from our customer service centre. Just ask about the combined ticket and enjoy the savings.
If you arrive at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard with rail only tickets, you will need to pay the full public admission price.
How much can I save?
The prices below are based on entry to Portsmouth Historic Dockyard only. To work out the full cost, please add the special offer price to the cost of your train ticket. On arrival at the main attraction entrance, exchange your combined ticket for an official Historic Dockyard ticket. Please check train times before you travel.

How do I get there?
Services to Portsmouth Harbour run from London Waterloo every half hour, and from Clapham Junction every hour, Monday to Saturday. There is also an hourly service on Sundays. Journey time from London Waterloo is around 1 hour 35 minutes. Portsmouth Historic Dockyard is a pleasant, five minute walk from the station. The attraction is approximately 5 minutes walk from Portsmouth Harbour Station.
Opening hours
The Historic Dockyard opens at 10am everyday throughout the year, except when closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
From April - October: last tickets to the attractions are sold at 4.30pm and the Dockyard gates are closed at 6.00pm
From November - March: Last tickets to the attractions are sold at 4.00pm and the Dockyard gates are closed at 5.30pm
