Travelling on trains leaving Bournemouth, Revenue Protection Inspector John Blackburn has what some may describe as a difficult job, yet he had entries flooding in. “He was very polite—a very nice person,” one passenger commented.

April Gunn at Southampton Central station is a familiar, smiling face and you can usually find her assisting passengers at the barrier gates. One nominator recalled, “We were meeting friends and family for our daughter’s wedding and April was so helpful—such a sunny disposition!”

A font of all knowledge at Hinchley Wood station, John Keys received many nominations from passengers who wanted to let us know about the excellent service he gives every day. One regular simply wrote, “If he left Hinchley Wood station, he would be greatly missed.” Another commented, “John has excellent knowledge of the service and is pleasant.”

Feltham is a busy station, so you might think it would be hard for someone to stand out—but Vernon Brown does just that. “He is exceptionally helpful—something not seen often these days,” one passenger wrote.

At London Waterloo station, Taiwo has a big beaming smile to greet all passengers. “Taiwo was more than happy to help two very demanding customers with many requests—and she did it all with a lovely smile,” one nominator recounted.
